Arely Westley, national LGBTQ+ immigrant activist, is finally FREE. Help her heal so she can rebuild her life and ramp up her bold fight for our collective liberation!

Our beloved Arely Westley—who has boldly served her LGBTQ+ and immigrant community for over a decade is finally free after surviving nearly 9 months of unjust, traumatic detention and cruel separation from her family and community. Arely, and the organization she founded (@sanctuarynowabolitionproject) to protect fellow immigrant survivors of systemic and institutional violence, need your support more than ever.

Arely will require time to heal, time to rebuild her life and to come back stronger than ever to fight for freedom for her people. Despite all she endured, Arely never stopped doing the work—securing commissary, social supports, and legal assistance for dozens of people surviving immigrant detention in Louisiana. She also led advocacy that resulted in freeing many pregnant women from ICE detention while sparking collaborative legal advocacy to ensure pregnant people are never detained by ICE to begin with—but now she needs our help.
