Help trans organizer recover from hit n run &arson

Hi! Organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Quinn Bishop(Quinn LaRoux). Last night Quinn’s parked car was involved in a severe hit and run. To make matters worse, the people who hit Quinn’s car returned several hours later and lit the other car and hers on fire resulting in a massive fire and explosion in front of her house. The night was pretty traumatic and the car is a total loss. Unfortunately, due to being out of work earlier in the pandemic and losing unemployment her insurance had lapsed and nothing is covered!

Quinn is a vital force in the queer and organizing communities in New Orleans. In addition to being a fixture in the local drag scene for years, she founded NOLA Drag Tours and hosted the Loose podcast, championing the preservation of New Orleans queer and trans histories. She is currently an organizer for Sunrise Movement doing intersectional environmental work along the Gulf Coast and in Appalachia(where she is from).

Having access to a car is pertinent for her to continue her work and to navigate the world safely as a trans woman. This would help her to put a down payment on a used car and help her to have some time to emotionally recover.
