Updated: help trans individual emergency rent fund

My name is Andromeda Phoenix and I am a queer, trans-nonbinary, autistic individual currently in the process of fleeing Kentucky due to all of the anti-LGBT legislation being passed.

I didn't grow up with the best home life, constantly being abused by my mother and sister for being queer and trans. After my mother passed away from covid in 2020 my sister got very close to taking my life, so for the last three years, I've been completely on my own. I'd been putting myself through college but due to my lack of funds and the discrimination I faced during my time here, I have dropped out to make the move. My goal is to move to Chicago.

Due to how I was raised it is often very hard for me to ask for help when I may need it. I often believe I don't deserve it, but I know I cannot do this alone anymore. I'm on a long healing journey and I may not know exactly what I need but I know I can't find it in a place I feel unsafe.

When I'm not trying to flee the state I'm often working on music under the name Witch Frown or playing with my 2 cats, I hope to be a successful artist someday and I hope to be given that opportunity. I'm already so grateful for all the support I've been given in any form, and for that, I can't thank you enough.
