Hi, I’m Kiara “Kiki” Barrino.

Pet grooming changed my life in 2017. What started as a job became my purpose. I discovered a passion for helping animals feel safe, cared for, and confident — and I built my business, Kiki’s Royal Pets, from the ground up with faith, hard work, and heart.

But my dream grew bigger than grooming.

I created Kiki’s Royal Grooming Academy to train the next generation of professional groomers — especially those who need opportunity, mentorship, and a real path to independence. My mission is simple: Training Ambition, Breeding Success.

I am working toward becoming one of the first Black-owned licensed grooming academies in Charlotte, North Carolina. This isn’t just about opening doors for myself — it’s about opening doors for others.

Now I’m asking for help to expand.

• Licensing and state approval requirements

• Upgrading grooming equipment and student kits

• Additional bathing tubs and grooming tables

• Classroom build-out and safety improvements

• Educational materials and certification costs

• Expanding into rabbit, cat, and farm grooming education
