My son Achim was diagnosed with autism when he was just two years old. Since then, our family has faced many challenges together. Achim struggles with self-harm, has no sense of fear, and finds it very difficult to regulate his emotions. Every day brings new hurdles, and as a parent, it’s heartbreaking to watch him go through these struggles without the tools he needs to cope.

That’s where Pepperoni comes in. Pepperoni is our 11-month-old black lab retriever mix, and she has already become a source of comfort and companionship for Achim. We believe that with the right training, Pepperoni can become an autism service dog who will help Achim in ways we can only imagine. The funds raised will go directly toward Pepperoni’s autism service dog training at Dog Training Elite in Oklahoma City. With this training, Pepperoni will be able to catch Achim before he has hour-long fits, help prevent him from harming himself or others, and provide daily monitoring and support.
