My friend, a teacher and single mom was recently diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer.  In June, she had a lumpectomy to remove the tumor, and on 8/1 had to have a double mastectomy due to the fact that there was an 80 percent chance of coming back.  At first she received good news that that the tumor didn’t spread.  Unfortunately, after testing the tumor, the number was high enough that it could have already sprinkled seeds throughout her entire body. If it did, there is a chance the cancer can return in her lungs, liver, or bone.
After healing from surgery she has to immediately begin chemo therapy for 3-4 months which will reduce the chances, and will only receive 60 percent of her pay while on a 6 month medical leave.  If she is unable to return after the 6 months, she will be receiving zero pay.  After her treatment is complete, she has to have two more surgeries.
She is single mom, takes care of her mother, and her daughter on a one salary household.  If you know Trady, you know what a selfless, hardworking woman she is and definitely doesn’t deserve to struggle more than she already is. Please help raise money so she can receive the treatment she needs and be able to live off of 60 percent of her pay for the duration of her leave.
