Help Tracy with her sugery
Donation protected
Our friend Tracy has been through an incredibly difficult journey and has now come to the decision to have her leg amputated in the coming weeks (March 24).
Not only has Tracy been battling a rare form of cancer for over 3 years, she has also lost her best friend and husband Mark in the midst of difficult surgeries/heavy chemo treatments. He passed away unexpectedly in December 2018.
Tracy has gone through several rounds of chemo, she has even tried immunotherapy.
Unfortunately, the treatments have not proven successful and the tumor on her leg is not healing. As a result, her doctors have had to stop all treatments, for fear of infection.
Instead of risking a rushed surgery performed in the emergency room, Tracy has opted to schedule a date with her surgeon, who knows her case, is well prepared and will be the one performing the procedure.
Aside from unbelievable stress and emotional turmoil, she has also had to cope with the challenge of raising 2 teenage boys as a single parent: it’s been so hard, yet she’s been incredibly courageous. Tracy, you’re amazing!
Over the past several years, the family has been hit by substantial medical expenses and is facing more costs in the next few months (surgery and prosthesis).
Tracy needs to raise $8,500 by March 24, in order to cover her medical deductible.
Any and all donations are very much appreciated.
We are also organizing a meal train, please let us know if you would like to participate, your help is welcome.
