Hello, my name is Jessica, and I am writing this on behalf of my mother.

Tracy Gatenby from Castlegar, BC, has always been a giver. A hardworking, humble woman, she has spent years cleaning homes and supporting her clients with care and dedication. She never asks for anything in return, always putting others before herself. But now, she needs our help.

As a single senior on a low income, Tracy has been bravely battling breast cancer. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy, with radiation still ahead of her. The journey has been incredibly difficult. Her first surgery didn’t go as planned, leading to two additional surgeries. She has endured pain, uncertainty, and overwhelming stress, yet she continues to face these challenges with resilience and grace. Even on her hardest days, she still finds a way to smile, to encourage others, and to hold onto hope.

But hope alone can’t pay the bills or cover the cost of treatment. Tracy is struggling to afford the basic necessities - rent, utilities, food, medication - while trying to regain her strength. The weight of these financial burdens is heavy, and she can’t carry them alone.

That’s where we come in.

Our goal is to raise funds to help ease Tracy’s financial worries so she can focus on healing without the constant fear of losing her home or not being able to afford the care she needs. Every donation - big or small - will go directly toward her medical care, essential living expenses, and long-term stability.

Tracy has spent her life showing kindness to others. Now, it’s our turn to show kindness to her.
