Our friend Tracy lost everything in the recent Eaton fire in Altadena California. He left his home in the middle of the night to escape the smoke, only to lose everything.

Tracy, always the optimist, left with essentially a go-bag of clothes for a night or two away. They left primarily due to the smoke as, at the time, the fire was burning west and away from his home. In the early morning hours his home, along with their entire street, was lost to the Eaton fire, leaving behind only rubble in its wake.

Tracy has been a member of our friend group since 2017 and has always been a force of positivity, wisdom, strength, and smiles. Even in the immediate wake of this loss, he told me “We're alive! Every setback is set up FOR A COMEBACK.” This ever positive attitude is nothing if not infectious and shows his ability to stand and smile in the face of adversity.

Additionally, he has also been heavily involved in the RC (radio controlled aircraft) community for years. His extensive collection of aircraft and equipment showed his true love and passion for anything that flies. He has been a staple of many RC flying clubs, including the group that regularly flies at the Rose Bowl. Similarly to the rest of his belongings, all of this equipment was also lost in this disaster.

While many things are irreplaceable, our hope is to provide Tracy with funding to help bring a sense of normalcy and comfort to his daily life.
