HELP TRACY GET TO HIS RESTING PLACE IN BARBADOS
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Grant Fullerton. I am doing this fundraiser for Tracy Jonathan Silverstone on behalf of his sister Julia and her family.
As you know we lost our good friend Tracy on October 27, his birthday in his favourite place to be Barbados. Tracy and Julia also lost their Mother just three weeks before his passing. We would like to help Julia with expenses and cremation in Barbados as the family are going through tough times right now with the loss of two people they loved dearly.
I met Tracy in the late 70’s, when Madcats were looking for a sound man. Fresh here from Montreal, Tracy’s ear was exceptional. Also, his zeal for party’s and rum seemed a good fit for our band.
After Madcats Tracy went on to live and work his magic in Barbados, for the great island band Ivory. Needless to say he made more life long friends. Tracy called me to come to work in Barbados in the 80’s and his friends became mine as well. Tracy recently lost his beautiful Mom, and now his sister Julia & family have lost them both. Truly heartbreaking.
Tracy had a gift for making friends and inspiring confidence in his abilities. He always had a fresh scheme on the go. Many belly laughs were had by us all. To laugh is to live.
Yes Tracy has left us. Passing away in the place he so dearly loved…Barbados
I will never forget you Tracy - Your buddy, Grant
RIP Tracey Jonathan Silverstone. ~ A very long time friend and road brother, has sadly passed. In the beginning of Glass Tigers adventures and through many years and stories of our past, he was our friend, Soundman, and road manager. We’ve seen each other through good and bad times. His dad played drums all over Europe in the Army big bands - he loved his music - and grew up living his life amongst a wide range of talented people. I was fortunate to spend time with him recently and know that he was ready to make peace with the world through his battle.
Those who knew him, knew he was the salt of the earth. He didn’t want to sit around hospitals so he stopped treatment and returned to Barbados and his friends to deal with life on his own terms. He sent me a video from Barbados a few days ago of turtles hatching and coming up through the sand! He was ecstatic! Then he passed away suddenly yesterday- on his birthday. Condolences to his family and friends… Life is short
It is terribly heartbreaking but they say ‘love transcends death’
Love ya brother!
Godspeed ❤️

I was fortunate enough to have been hired by Tracy to be Glass Tigers lighting director in the 80s. During that time we were roommates, driving partners, shared the front of house.. We became best friends always enjoying each other’s company.
We had so many great experiences together.
One of my most memorable moments with Tracy was when we were driving from Barcelona to Zurich on the Roxette, Glass Tiger Tour. We had decided that we would try to go through Monte Carlo for our rest stop. However we had found out that we could not drive our truck in Monaco so we then decided that we would go to stay in Luzerne Switzerland. We stayed at the most expensive hotel the Palace and pretended we were big shots soaking up what the hotel offered to us. We had the time of our lives, but of course in the end we paid for it when management got the bill..
I am so grateful that I really got to know him and to have shared so many wild and crazy times together. I am equally grateful that in the last couple of months we were able to spend some time together reminiscing our wonderful times, I will never forget him he was my brother..
I love you man RIP..

It is with deep sadness and regret that we the members of Ivory are trying to come to terms with the recent passing of a very dear friend of ours and a former integral part of our team at the time. Tracy Silverstone
Tracy joined us here in Barbados as studio and live engineer from 1983 till 1985.
He was the recording engineer on Ivory’s Print out album, and created the electronic vocal efx on Print Out.
He also did tours to Trinidad and Grenada with the band.
Memories of the Trinidad show is when he was supplied with a Meyer sound system for the show, he was like a kid in a candy store.
Fun loving and truly dedicated to his work, Ivory were in sonic top form with his presence.
Tracy returned to Barbados in 2019 for Maxie’s Memorial and then twice more in 2020. He wanted to see the band again so he was our guest for our performance at Sandy Lane on New Year’s Eve 2020.
October 2021 saw one more visit, we celebrated his 63rd birthday with him on October 27th 2021.
A final goodbye.
