Help Tracy Get The Critical Hysterectomy She Needs.

I need your help through another delicate and trying time, as this continues to be one of the most difficult things my wife and I have ever had to share with and ask of anyone. Since 2023, my wife, Tracy, has been doing her best to navigate through several severe health issues. Thankfully, her recent D&C (at the Mayo Clinic - July 2025) came up negative and the polyp removals (w/ new/correct meds) slowed the bleeding, giving us a little time… After her emergency D&C procedure, our plan was then to wait a few months for the new year to get an insurance policy, when the markets open back up. Of course, we were hoping to find a policy that would cover her for the future care the doctors are prescribing for a complete and full recovery: a full hysterectomy (for endometriosis, a large cyst on her left ovary, and at least 10 large fibroids that continue to grow and cause bleeding).

As of today (three months into the new year) we’ve unfortunately hit many walls trying to get ANY insurance. Once again, for many reasons beyond our control we’re still unable and unqualified to get the insurance needed for her necessary surgery. Not only have all insurance premiums gone through the roof this year (making it more impossible to get a policy), we found out the Mayo Clinic doesn't accept any ACA insurance policies, as we further don’t qualify (through our work or on the open market) for ANY insurance the Mayo Clinic will accept… Putting us, once again, in another desperate and dire situation where we are 'CASH PAY ONLY' while needing to get her into surgery, ASAP, as time is becoming very critical.

Side note: The previous care centers in the Phoenix, AZ (area) that Tracy went to before Mayo, are officially out of the question for alternative options for care. It didn't help Tracy that her last doctor, as well as her last emergency room visit (before visiting Mayo Clinic OBG/YN) severely misdiagnosed her, setting us back further (time and money), giving us false hope, only creating more issues and anxiety. We have looked into several other options and at this juncture, going anywhere else (clinic/state/country) other than the Mayo would bring us back to square one, setting us back 1-2 years, as we’d lose all consistency of care (and trust) with the doctors at Mayo OBG/YN (two year history)… ultimately costing more money, and most importantly: TIME!!

So, thinking/hoping we’d have insurance by March 2026, but to no avail, we’ve recently had to push back her original hysterectomy appointment scheduled (in good faith for April 2026) now rescheduled for June 17th. This rescheduled surgery for June 17th (also scheduled in good faith) was only ‘penciled-in’ at the Mayo in the hopes we’ll be able to raise and pay the money required, in time for the care she needs.

Although Tracy and I have been able to raise a small fraction of the money needed for her intake/evaluation appointment, and a couple post-op follow up appointments (approximately $2,500)… ‘Cash Pay’ for her full hysterectomy, according to the Mayo (in Phoenix) will cost an additional $54,817 (yes, that is with the ‘cash pay’ discount).

Our hope is to raise the first $25,000 (deposit) by April 28th, and the rest of the amount ($29,817 + GoFundMe fees**) by June 3rd… As we’ve been told by the Mayo if we are able to pay the full amount anytime before June 3rd, we’ll be put on a priority list, making it possible her surgery could happen sooner than June 17th!

**GoFundMe takes nearly 3% of the total amount raised through this campaign. In addition to the $54,817 estimate/cost for the hysterectomy, GoFundMe fees will add approximately $1,650 to the total amount needed, for a total fundraising goal of $56,467.

At this time, she’s doing her very best through all of this, as we’re stuck in another situation that we can’t see our way through without your help, understanding, love, and support as time is becoming critical. Delaying this care much longer is not a viable option.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your help with this delicate matter. Much love and cheers, Nathan & Tracy
