Help Tracy Fulfill Her Israel Dream

Today, Pastor Philip sent us his message from Israel showing the sun rise on the shores of Galilee…so inspiring! I can’t believe that I will be there in 6 weeks!!! I am looking forward to awakening my purpose in life as I walk in the same areas that Jesus walked. I am so looking forward to meeting and serving Israelis, which is so very important. I want to build relationships, just like Jesus took time to build relationships. I want to help bring hope however I can. But I still need your help! If you feel called, please donate.

Help Tracy Get To Israel!

Hello friends, family, and community! I am writing this on behalf of my beautiful sister in Christ, Tracy Goodpaster.

Tracy and I have been friends for over 6 years, but the last 3 years we have been like sisters growing our friendship and faith, gaining wisdom, and chasing God. Tracy was there for the birth of Hazel as well as many other times being an intricate and special part of our lives. Last year we spent every day committed to reading the Bible In One Year with countless hours of notes and videos back and forth about it. It changed our lives forever! I am grateful for Tracy and her commitment to getting through it and flourishing as a result. Watching her outlook change into Gods will for her life has been an extraordinary thing!

I could write a novel about my amazing friend, but I am here to ask for your help!

Back in March I was sobbing as Tracy told me she has been diagnosed with cancer (CLL). I felt my world shatter, it is a hard to thing to hear about anyone but especially hard when it is your best friend. Tracy has handled it in strides being filled with God’s peace and is looking forward to what is next. She’s remained faithful to God’s plan for her and finds comfort in that. We have been talking about her desire to go to Israel for a couple of years and now there is an opportunity for Tracy to go this October with a group from her church on a goodwill trip and my heart leaped because I knew I needed to get my friend there.

A message from Tracy:

Why go now?

After being diagnosed with a form of Leukemia in March of this year, I decided not to put off this visit to Israel any longer. The future is always uncertain, but this latest information spurred me into a decision that now is the time. I believe that God has placed the desire in my heart to show that I stand with the Israeli people by staying with Israelis that want our help and encouraging them in this time of need and getting to know them personally, pray and worship with them. I want to help in very practical ways to show my support helping in whatever way is needed once we arrive. I also want the opportunity to explore Jerusalem’s and Galilee’s holy sites and have time to reflect there. Yes, it is a challenging time to go to Israel, but we will be safe with arrangements made through Philip’s House and Sar-El Tours (Israel’s most experienced travel company.) Our host is pastor Philip. I will be with a group of about twenty other members of my church (Evergreen Church, Bothell, WA). This amount will pay for my air fare, lodging and meals. God is good and I am believing He will provide!
