My name is Tracy, and I am facing stage 4 basaloid squamous cell carcinoma. My world changed after a hysterectomy revealed this rare cancer. Since then, I have started chemotherapy and immune therapy once a week for six months. Because my cancer is so rare, I have to travel from North Carolina to New York for treatment. The travel is exhausting, but I am determined to fight for my life.
This journey has been incredibly hard on my family. I was recently removed from my position as a restaurant manager, and my husband has become my caretaker, which means he is unable to work. We are doing everything we can to stay strong, but the financial strain is overwhelming. I am halfway through my treatment, but the costs of travel, health insurance, and medical bills are more than we can handle alone. Without work, I can't pay for my insurance or cover the expenses that come with my care.
I am a mother of four beautiful children, and my life revolves around them. I don't like asking for help, but if I don't, my life could depend on it. I need to be here for their weddings and to become a grandmother. I am not ready to say goodbye. Please share my story and donate if you can. Your support means the world to me and my family. God bless.
