On Wednesday, October 9th, my mother, Tracy Carter, a 62-year-old resident of the Spanish Lakes Community in Ft. Pierce, FL, and her husband, Michael Bartholomew, a 56-year-old from Vero Beach, FL, lost everything they own, including their entire home and car, due to a catastrophic tornado that spun from an outer band that was part of Hurricane Milton and traveled through their neighborhood, causing mass destruction. The tornado picked up their neighbor's mobile home and tossed it on top of theirs. By the grace of God, all that was left standing was the bedroom and closet they were hiding in. The couple, and their chihuahua, Mikey Frank, were very fortunate to make it out alive without so much as a scratch.
My mom has worked in the insurance agency for over 35 years. She has spent the last 15 years as an agent for Pete Benvenuto’s Great Florida Insurance in Brevard County and recently transitioned to working from home.
Please help us raise money for Tracy and Michael to get back on their feet. They are in need of a home, a vehicle and all the basic essentials. Any amount of donation is much appreciated. Please click the link below to read their article in the Washington Post.
