Hello all,

My name is Brooke. My sister Ashley and I are setting up a GoFundMe account for Tracy Roskoski, our aunt and godmother. This past Friday, Sept 6th, Tracy lost her husband John unexpectedly. For the past 4 years, John has been battling several different health issues and had been in and out of the hospital and several different rehabilitation centers with the hopes of soon finally returning home. About a week ago, he needed to undergo a simple surgery, which went well and he was recovering. Just a couple of days later, he suffered a stroke, but his doctors were confident he was going to recover. Unfortunately, things drastically changed for the worse and our aunt was faced with one of the hardest decisions anyone has to make. Tracy had to let him go. Early Friday morning, she received a call from the hospital that John's condition was deteriorating quickly, and the machines were barely helping at this point, so she and the boys went straight to the hospital to say their goodbyes, and John peacefully passed away with his family by his side.

Tracy has been living a tremendously difficult life the past several years. She has been the sole caregiver to her 21-year-old twin boys who are autistic. She has been caring for them while simultaneously going to the hospital or rehabilitation center 6 days a week to be with John. Even when John was in rehab centers, Tracy was also caring for him there because the staff was not equipped to help with everything he needed. She even helped other patients at the center, and some even thought she was an employee because of everything she did.

Now, she has lost her best friend, her rock, her everything. She has gone from one nightmare right into another. A financial nightmare. The unexpected passing of her husband has brought a financial burden on her and the boys. There is no life insurance policy.

Losing a loved one is always difficult, but coping with a sudden loss adds a different element to the grieving process. It doesn’t follow a pattern, and there’s often a lack of closure.

We'd like to show our support to Tracy and her boys during this difficult time by helping them cover unexpected costs due to this sudden tragedy.
