Supporting a Faithful Mother and Her Three Daughters’ Education

I am writing on behalf of a remarkable mother, Tracie, and her three incredible daughters—young women I have known and loved since the day they were born.

For over 35 years, Tracie has been my beloved covenant sister. I have witnessed her life through seasons of joy and hardship, and through it all, one thing has never wavered: her faith and her unwavering commitment to her daughters. She has always put them first—ensuring they never lacked what they needed academically, emotionally, or spiritually. Through band events, swim meets, track meets she has been their greatest cheerleader.

Tracie singlehandedly paid for her daughters’ education through private middle school and high school, and she continues to support them through higher education. Today, two of her daughters are undergraduate students at Virginia Commonwealth University, with both scheduled to graduate—one this year and one next year. Grace is an Art major with a concentration in Painting and Printmaking, and Joy is a Cinema major. Both young women have maintained stellar academic performance throughout their studies. Tracie’s eldest daughter, Destiny, is pursuing a master’s degree at Dallas Baptist University, where she is a Communications major and has also excelled in her academic achievement.

This past year, however, has brought unexpected and overwhelming challenges. During the summer, Destiny lost her job while living in Texas, leaving Tracie responsible not only for tuition for all three daughters but also for rent expenses out of state. Although Destiny has since moved back home and secured employment, the family is now facing the financial burden of breaking that lease. Destiny will have to fly to Texas as needed to finish her course work. Destiny is scheduled to graduate this year.

To add to these difficulties, Tracie was unexpectedly let go from her part-time job on December 29, 2025, due to administrative changes. These untimely events, occurring back-to-back, have placed an immense strain on the family’s finances.

Grace currently has an outstanding tuition balance of approximately $11,000, which must be resolved in order for her to register for classes beginning January 12, 2026. Beyond her academic excellence, Grace is deeply engaged on campus. She is actively involved in Transform, serves as the president of her dormitory, and volunteers with Operation Lady Bug. She is a gifted artist, a leader among her peers, and a young woman with a bright future. However, this request is not just about Grace, it is about the family. We are not setting a limit on what God can do through His people to help them through this tough time.

Tracie has never asked for help—not for herself and not for her children. This GoFundMe is being created because circumstances have simply become more than one person can carry alone. I have personally contributed toward assisting with tuition costs, and I would not ask others to give if I were not willing to help myself.
