How do you begin a post like this?

Our beautiful 'little' sister Tracie McCleave has cancer.  Large B Cell Non Hodgkins Lymphoma to be exact.  When she gave those words to our family last week, I personally was numb, confused, angry and sad.  How could this have happened?  She is too young and has so much life in her.   So many milestones left to reach with her kids.   Why her?  Sadly, God is the only one who knows the answer to this.  I have to put my faith and trust in Him.

To any of you who know Tracie personally , this girl is so full of energy and life and holy cow does she know how to make you laugh!  Most of the time we are laughing at her,  but still laughing none the less.  She is loved and cherished by all who know her. She has a heart of gold and goes WAY out of her way to help family, friends, strangers, however crosses her path.   She brings life to any party or gathering when she enters the room.  To know Tracie is to have a story or lifetime of memories, ones that will keep you laughing for years!  She is a joy to be around and we love her dearly.  She has so much left to give!

This diagnosis happened so quickly, giving her little time to think or plan.   Tracie is a beautiful, loving, single mom to 2 teenage boys, Luke - 17 and Brady - 15.  She is also self employed, meaning if she doesn't work, her wages are drastically reduced.  As a worker in sales, she depends on new business to sustain her family and she will be unable to solicit work for weeks if not months.

This cancer diagnosis will be a huge financial strain on her and her family.  She will endure 6 grueling rounds of chemo, lasting 5 days in a row every 3 weeks.  She will also receive a clinical trial treatment called Nivolumab, in conjunction with DA-epoch-R chemo.   This treatment will be intense and will knock her down both physically and mentally.  She will be brutally sick during treatment and unable to work to earn a regular paycheck to cover her mortgage and home expenses along with many medical expenses.

We need to help Tracie  focus on treatment and recovery, not how she will be able to continue to live and provide for her and her boys.  As of this post, she is already in the hospital, 2 weeks earlier than scheduled, to speed up the treatment process because her body was creating so many clots making her case more severe.  Her chemo may begin as early as January 31st, leaving her no opportunity to work for the next few weeks.

Can we rain down God's blessings on Tracie during this unexpected and unfortunate medical crisis?  To help her and show her that we love her and that we are here for her?  Any amount you can give, even just $5 will be a blessing and greatly appreciated.  Let's shower her with our love, prayers and donations.  May God bless all who read this and feel called to help.  And thank you for sharing this post to others who may feel led to help in this cause.  ❤️  #teamtracie
