In December 2024, our dear friend Tracie Palmer received the life-changing news that she had Stage 2 breast cancer. She began treatment in early 2025 and, with incredible determination, rang the “cancer-free” bell that September. But towards the end of the year, new pain in her back signaled that something wasn’t right. By the end of January, Tracie and her husband Matt learned the heartbreaking truth: the cancer had metastasized to her bones. Tracie immediately began a new treatment plan in mid-February, and early signs are hopeful—a testament to her strength and determination as well as the excellent care she’s receiving.

Even with insurance, the financial strain of cancer care is overwhelming. Over the past three years, Tracie has faced considerable gaps in coverage, along with countless out-of-pocket expenses—IV therapies, mobility aids like walkers and canes, medical supplies, and home-care necessities that help her stay safe and comfortable. Tracie and Matt are carrying an enormous emotional and financial load. This fundraiser exists to ease that burden so they can focus fully on what matters most: Tracie’s healing and quality of life.
