Help Tracie Bassett get Neville home

Hi, my name is Dianne and I am raising funds to help Tracie Bassett get her husband, Neville home.

Neville was born in February 1968 and raised in Coonabarabran NSW. Farming has always been in his blood and he and Tracie were looking forward to returning to the family farm Coonabarabran.

On leaving school he became a mechanic earning 12 post trade qualifications. He served in the army for a number of years leaving when he met Tracie and worked as an offsider on drilling rigs and eventually became a driller as well driving road trains. Neville and Tracie moved to Perth to be close to PMH to obtain better medical services for son, Robert. In Perth he had a very successful gardening business in Perth for a number of years until the passing of Robert.

Neville had Asperger's and struggled with anxiety and depression his whole life, but never let it stop him doing anything.

On meeting his soulmate Tracie he took on raising her three children, Lori, Caprice and Robert and added another three, William, Sandra and James. Neville adored his 5 grandchildren, Alexis, Sapphira, Melody, Eliza and Lachlan.

Neville passed away suddenly early on Friday 15th March at Daly River, which is currently surrounded by flood waters. Neville’s body has been transferred to Darwin, whilst Tracie remains isolated at Daly River until the flood waters subside and she can return to the farm to be with family.

It was Neville’s wish to be buried at the Coonabarabran family farm alongside his father. Tracie has very limited means and funds are desperately needed to transfer Neville to Coonabarabran. Please assist the family to have the funeral for the celebration of life of the man who was always there if someone needed a hand but never knew how to ask for help for himself. Neville was much loved by everyone that knew him.
