Our dearest friends and community —

Three weeks ago, my roommate was in a serious accident where she fell two stories which left her with a fractured pelvis and spine. She had to undergo surgery to have rods placed in her back and spent about a week in the hospital recovering.

She’s home now and slowly regaining her strength — recently cleared to do light work, but she’s still in a lot of pain and very limited physically. Because of the injury, she’s been unable to work full-time for weeks, and it’s caused her to fall two months behind on rent. She’s so strong and has been through so much . The medical bills are already a huge stressor for her and I’d hate the fear of losing her home to be another.

We’re trying to raise $3,000 to avoid losing our home and give her the time she needs to heal fully without added stress. I moved in a week ago and we’ve been doing everything we can to keep us afloat, but we’re at the point where we could really use a hand from our friends and community.
