This isn’t an easy step for me—I’ve always been someone who tried to handle life’s challenges on my own. But right now, I find myself in a place where I need to reach out to the kindness of others, even strangers.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I will be unable to work for the next year. As you can imagine, the uncertainty of not having a steady income is overwhelming. The bills, the everyday expenses, the “what ifs”—they all weigh heavy.
