My name is Oladapo, and I am fundraising for Toyin Shabi.

Toyin is a 46 year old single mother with an only child, who is just 11 years of age. She is an hardworking lady who worked before her current illness as a fashion designer, trader and cook all at the same time to make ends meet, and to cater for her only child.

She was in her usual state of health until the latter part of 2022 when she progressively became breathless. The breathlessness worsened with rapid deterioration in her health in Late November 2022 when she suddenly became unconscious and needed care in the Intensive Care Unit.

She was diagnosed of respiratory failure as a result of a chest infection.

Toyin has been receiving very expensive ICU treatment in the last 1 month while she remained unconscious.

Although she has now gained significant improvement, the cost of hospital bills threatens her continuous care going forward.

We do not want to jeopardize these clinical gains as a result of lack of funds.

Toyin therefore needs your help to stay alive and be given a chance to wake up on this side of eternity.

Funds raised are solely for her care and nothing more.

She is currently already indebted to the hospital to a tune of about £13,000 and had through the help of family and friends already expended another approximately £13,000.
