Hey! I am Toya, and I am sad to say that my husband and I have fallen on a bit of a hard time. We are both currently working full-time but are at a point where we need to ask for help. We have been married for 7 years, and in that time, we have had some amazing highs and have been able to help people when we can, but we are at a point where we need help now.

We have only had 1 vehicle the entire time we have been married, and when we moved to MO in 2021, we needed a more weather-appropriate vehicle. We traded our 2020 Jeep for a 2015 Subaru. The Jeep did not have 4x4, and that was very much needed. Well, when we traded that Jeep in, they ran my credit 15+ times. And we all know how that goes.

Since owning this Subaru, it has done amazing at getting us where we need to go. And that meant getting us back to our home, Florida. Now that we have had this car since 2022, we have put more than 8k into this car. It is getting to the point that it does not make sense to keep it. We cannot keep pouring money into it because it is also becoming more expensive to do so.

We have had our eye on upgrading to an Accent from our Forester. But with how things have gone, being in debt, we won't be able to do that any time soon.

While yes, we both do work full-time, I am the one that is also commuting. (Let me clarify, I love my job, my team, and the DVM I work for and will not be changing anything about that because I have luckily found a unicorn clinic.) We are both full-time students as well. We are just trying to make day by day at this point.

We are fundraising because we need help to upgrade our vehicle! This amount is to help us get the new Accent!

The breakdown of what the goal is going towards is to pay down a bit of the loan that is on our current car. The extra would be going towards a downpayment on the new (to us) car.
