Help towards Lane's journey to walk again

Hey ya'll, Lane here.

I'm calling on the help of my friends and extended network to help me get up and walking again.

For those who don't know me, I make my living as action sports athlete and was involved in a debilitating accident.

What Happened:

On Feb 21st, I was involved in a paragliding crash, while flying with friends in Switzerland. During my flight, I made a mistake which resulted in me falling more than 130ft (40m) out of the sky and landing on my backside in the snow/ice. Thankfully, a skier who saw the fall was at my side within 10 seconds and called ski patrol. Due to their fast reactions, I was packaged up and medevac'd off the mountain less than 25 minutes after hitting the snow. From there, I was flown straight to Bern and wheeled directly into emergency, life saving surgery. Every minute mattered and I feel grateful, lucky, and blessed that everything went so well during the rescue and I was able to stay here on Earth a bit longer.

After surgery number one, I was placed into an induced coma. Over the next days, I would have three more life saving surgeries. After 6 days in a coma, they pulled me out and I spent the rest of February in ICU. Since then, I've been in immediate care doing more surgeries, more scans, and more pictures etc. Everyday they find something new to address, so it has been a humbling experience to say the least. After I'm released from immediate care, Ill be transferred to Europe's top spinal cord injury rehab clinic and start my journey to learning to walk again. Its gonna be a long journey to come back but I know with all the help of the specialists and support from everyone that I can do it.

Damage Report:

Complete explosion/destruction of my L2 resulting in a severe spinal cord injury causing loss of feeling in my legs and a host of other problems

Separation of my pelvis off of my spine

Open book fracture of pelvis

Fracture of the right pelvis wing

C-Spine fracture (neck)

Explosion of renal artery off of my left kidney resulting in internal bleeding

Collapsed right lung

6 broken ribs

3 massive hematomas requiring surgery for removal

Destruction of my lower abdominal muscles

Left wrist fracture requiring surgery

What I am raising funds for:

Hotel costs: My wife has been by my side at the hospital since day one and has been a God send. I don't know what I what have done without her. She's a total rockstar, basically been by personal nurse doing everything she can to make my life bearable. She's been in a hotel the entire time (3 weeks and counting) and costs are mounting
