Fighting to save my life

I have started and updated this page, as I'm fighting for my life in hopes of receiving a potentially life-saving bone marrow transplant after battling cancer for nearly two years.

My Story

In October 2023, one month before my spouse and I were engaged, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma. By December 2023, I was struggling to work, and bills were piling up as I was making frequent visits to the hospital, both for inpatient and outpatient care. By March 2024, because I was unable to catch up with my rent arrears, my amazing landlord was unable to renew my lease.

However, soon after, thanks to the generous donations of so many of you on here and my loving partner, I was able to start managing medical expenses as I started receiving extensive treatment throughout the summer of 2024, including chemotherapy. It seemed like I was starting to win the battle against cancer. I was even able to get married. By October 2024, things were starting to look up.

More Devastating News

For about 6 months, we believed that I was on the path to recovery. However, by April 2025, my spouse and I received the devastating news that lymphoma had returned. I resumed extensive treatment, including chemotherapy, after contracting pneumonia and battling complications related to sepsis and other issues. Since May 6, 2025, I have been in the hospital due to ongoing difficulties, requiring extensive transfusions. Doctors were working hard to find out what was wrong.

During this time, I haven't been able to work or help my spouse with rent or other bills, including personal medical expenses. I wasn't able to attend my spouse's graduations that I looked forward to, nor was I able to celebrate my one-year wedding anniversary. I'm now at a point in my treatment where I have great difficulty walking and have been confined to bed rest.

On May 30, 2025, I received even more devastating news that, because of complications related to my bone marrow and chemotherapy, I need to receive a bone marrow transplant from a donor for the best chance of survival.

How you can help

Unfortunately, insurance won't cover this procedure for receiving a bone marrow transplant from a donor that could quite literally save my life. I hate asking for help, but this is a very urgent situation. We need to raise at least $200,000 for this transplant. My spouse and I can't do this without your help, which is why we're here again to ask for your help. I want to live to see my family again and to celebrate life with the love of my life.
