Help Tove and Edit

Our dear friend Tove is critically ill from advanced triple negative breast cancer that has metastasized to lungs and bones. She lives alone with her ten year old daughter Edit since Edits father Mikael tragically and unexpectedly passed away in his sleep in their home spring 2017. The worst possible thing to happen in an already unbearably difficult situation. 

We, Toves friends and family, decided to now start this fundraiser to try and help with their basic needs and everyday life.
We have been hesitant to do such a thing but the situation has become rather acute and we find we have no other choice.

Tove is going through her third year of chemotherapy and the treatment is extremely challenging for her and Edit right now. We want to do what we can to help them and so we ask you for your help. We wish to help them take care of the kind of things you cannot manage when you are seriously ill for a long time.

A nurse visits her a few times a week and she has a hospital bed at home.

Because of the severity of Toves illness it has been ruled that Edit will be put in an orphanage if there is not another adult in the home every night.
Friends have been taking turns of sleeping over the past year.
It is to say the least straining and complicated to keep a schedule like that going.
Although we initially had hoped for the assistance of a paid personal assistant for night shifts it seems that is not happening anytime soon

Toves cousin Eva has moved in with her and Edit for periods of time to help since Mikaels death but it has gotten harder and harder to combine with work and personal finances keep everyone on their knees.

Among other things we need ways to support her expences going back and forth every week from Stockholm and help to provide for Tove and Edit who struggle economically.

It is not realistic that the demand for another person staying in the apartment will change - but the dream would be being able to get a personal assistant when friends aren’t able to stay over.
Edit being placed in temporary foster care is a daily threat and thats why we managed so far.

Tove and Edit are extremely close and their separation would be the saddest outcome.
They need every minute they can have together.

With no other way of earning money we also need fund to pay bills, get Edit clothes and most of all to get her some distraction and entertainment.
Fix general broken things in the apartment, things that don’t get fixed when you lose a family member.
Install a dishwasher. Hire help to assemble some storage etc.
Hire help when there is a gap in the rotating schedule etc

All donations are helpful no matter how small.

Vår älskade vän Tove är svårt sjuk i trippelnegativ bröstcancer som spridit sig till lungor och skelett.
Hon bor ensam tillsammans med sin tioåriga dotter Edit sedan Edits pappa Mikael oväntat avled i sömnen i deras hem våren 2017.
Det värsta som kunde hända i denna redan obeskrivligt tunga situation.

Tove genomgår nu sitt tredje år av cellgiftsbehandlingar och det är en extremt påfrestande period för henne och Edit.
Hemmet har handikappsanpassat till viss del med sjukhussäng och sjuksköterskor ger henne vård i hemmet. Sedan en period förflyttar hon sig oftast med käpp och hjälp eller med rullstol vid de tillfällen de behöver ta sig utomhus.

För att Tove är såpass sjuk finns ett beslut om att Edit omedelbart kommer omhändertas och satt på barnhem om inte annan vuxen sover i lägenheten med dem varje natt.
Vänner har turats om under året. Det är en näst intill omöjlig uppgift att hålla det flytande för en mycket liten skara människor.
Det överliggande hotet om separation är mycket tungt för dem i den redan mycket stora sorgen efter Mikaels död. Behovet av personlig assistent har uttryckts men det har inte beviljats.
Vi har inte givit upp hoppet om detta men Edit och Tove skulle så gärna vilja kunna fortsätta bo ihop utan avbrott så tillsvidare fortsätter vänner att bo med dem.
Toves kusin Eva har i långa perioder efter Mikaels död bott med Tove för att hjälpa till, heltid.
Vi önskar att hon på något sätt kan få lite ersättning för sin tid, utgifter och tågbiljetter så att hon har råd att resa ned från Stockholm utan att totalt behöva gå på knäna.

Vi, Toves vänner och familj tänkte nu starta en insamling för att försöka få vardagen att gå runt för Tove och Edit.

Vi önskar på det här sättet att få chans att skapa en liten buffert till Edit och Tove för vanliga räkningar, klädinköp till Edit.
Bekosta distraktion och utflykter. Ordna upp lite sådana saker i hemmet, som förfaller när man är mycket sjuk länge.
Innan Mikael dog gjorde han mycket av dessa saker nu hamnar praktiska problem på hög.
Kanske kan vi hjälpa dem att hyra in hjälp när något behöver lagas. Köpa en diskmaskin etc.

Sammanfattningsvis behöver de hjälp med allt och alla bidrag hjälper till oavsett storlek.
