Hi, my name is Raquel, and I’m fundraising for my little dog Totty, who is not just a pet, but my family, my companion, and my heart.

Totty recently went through a very delicate and life-saving surgery to correct a congenital liver condition (a hepatic shunt). The surgery itself was successful, and for a brief moment, we believed the worst was behind us.

Unfortunately, shortly after, she developed severe complications, including acute pancreatitis. This led to repeated hospital admissions, intensive monitoring, blood tests, ultrasounds, strong pain medication, IV fluids, and attempts at assisted feeding. Some days were stable, others frighteningly uncertain.

Watching her struggle to eat, dealing with pain, fever, and exhaustion, has been one of the hardest experiences of my life. There were moments when feeding tubes had to be attempted, sedation was required, and nothing seemed simple or easy. Totty kept fighting in her own brave way, even when her tiny body was tired.

Thanks to the dedication of the veterinary team and constant care at home, she is now slowly showing signs of recovery. She is eating small meals again, responding, and regaining strength — but her journey is not over yet. Ongoing treatment, medication, follow-up blood tests, and specialist care are still required.

The veterinary costs have grown far beyond what we ever expected, including emergency care, hospitalisation, specialist treatment, medication, and follow-up exams. I am doing everything I can, but I can no longer manage this alone.

I am asking for help so I can continue giving Totty the medical care she needs to fully recover and have the healthy life she deserves. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward her veterinary expenses.
