Friends, nature-lovers, and bee-believers,
I’m reaching out today on behalf of someone truly special: my dear friend Totty, a passionate and dedicated beekeeper who has spent years lovingly nurturing her hives and caring for the bees that do so much for our world.
Totty isn’t just a beekeeper. She’s a guardian of pollinators, a quiet warrior in a bee suit, and a true friend to the environment. Her days are long, her work is hard, and yet she approaches it with a kind of devotion and care that’s rare to witness. She talks to her bees like they’re old friends — because to her, they are.
But tragically, for the second time, someone has vandalised her hives. It’s hard to put into words how devastating this is — not just for Totty, but for the precious bees she cares for, and for all of us who rely on them.
Yes — all of us.
Bees pollinate over 75% of the crops we eat. They support ecosystems, biodiversity, and entire food chains. When someone destroys a hive, they aren’t just damaging property. They’re harming a delicate web of life that affects us all.
Totty’s bees are more than honey-makers — they’re pollinators, peace-bringers, and little miracles with wings. And right now, they need our help.
Your donation will help Totty:
Rebuild the vandalised hives
Replace essential beekeeping equipment
Ensure the surviving bees are protected and cared for
Increase security to prevent future damage
This isn’t just about restoring a few hives. It’s about standing up for kindness, resilience, and the natural world.
If you’ve ever enjoyed the sweetness of honey, the beauty of a wildflower, or the crunch of an apple — you’ve benefited from bees. Let’s show that we value them, and the people like Totty who dedicate their lives to protecting them.
Please donate what you can — and if you can’t give, share. Let’s make some noise for the bees.
With gratitude,
"The Bees" and Totty and me of course xxx
