Last week, our dear friend Torrie received life-changing news — she has been diagnosed with leukemia, just as she was finishing school and preparing for an exciting new chapter in her life.

Torrie is a loving wife to Rory and an incredible mom to their 5-year-old daughter, Mya. As they begin this unexpected and difficult journey, their focus has quickly shifted from future plans to fighting this diagnosis together as a family. Anyone who knows Torrie knows she’s always the first to help and support those around her. Now, we have the chance to do the same for her.

The road ahead will be incredibly challenging. Torrie is expected to undergo intensive treatment over the coming months, and doctors anticipate that she may be out of work for up to a year. Her recovery will require not only strength, but also significant rest and time to heal.

Rory, who runs his own business, will likely have to take time off from work to care for Torrie and support Mya during this time. This will place a major financial strain on their family, as they balance lost income with the rising costs of daily living, childcare, and medical-related expenses.

We are coming together to support Torrie, Rory, and Mya so they can focus on what matters most — Torrie’s health and their time together as a family.
