Hi everyone, I wanted to share a bit more of what Toro has been through recently.

We had to rush him in for emergency surgery after a sudden and very serious health scare. During this time, he experienced respiratory arrest and required urgent stabilization to help him breathe. It was one of the scariest moments we’ve experienced, but we’re so grateful he pulled through and is now recovering at home.

He had severely enlarged salivary glands that were affecting his breathing, and needed surgery to have them removed to prevent further complications.

While I haven’t shared this publicly before, Toro was diagnosed with immune-mediated optic neuritis back in October, which has caused him to go blind in his right eye. He has been under the care of a neurologist since then, with ongoing appointments and treatment to support his vision and overall health. Between this and the recent emergency, the medical costs have added up to nearly $23,000 so far.

We never expected to be in this position, but a few people had reached out asking how they could help, so I decided to set this up. There is absolutely no pressure at all—just sharing in case anyone would like to support Toro during his recovery. Any support, no matter how small, would truly mean a lot to us.
