Two parents, two kids, one family determined to rebuild—with our help.

On August 10th, 2025, at 2 a.m., Torien and Arieal woke up to record rainfall hitting the Greater Milwaukee area, causing life-threatening flash flooding and widespread property damage. Over 1,100 homes reported water backing up into basements—including Torien and Arieal’s.

Now, this young family of four (with daughters ages 3 and 5) is facing urgent challenges: replacing essential household systems, protecting what little could be saved, and preparing their kids to start the school year with clothing, shoes, backpacks, and supplies.

What Was Lost

Their basement—once their daughters’ playroom and the only place toys were kept—was completely destroyed. They lost:

Hot water heater

HVAC system

Circuit breakers

Washer & dryer

All of their children’s toys, games, and electronics

The flooding also reached their garage, destroying power tools, lawn equipment, and other household essentials.

Torien and Arieal are first-time homeowners—just two years into their dream home—and this disaster has shaken their foundation in every sense of the word.
