Help Tori Financially with her Mom's Passing

Hi, my name is Ratna Ramaraju and I am fundraising for my friend, Tori Corder.

Tori is a first-year medical student (and my classmate) who unexpectedly lost her mom to suicide this past December. No one could have predicted this, let alone prepare financially for this event, and Tori is the sole beneficiary of her mom's assets, meaning the responsibility of paying for the memorial, lawyers, and selling her mom's house - among other things - has fallen on her shoulders. On top of this, Tori is still in medical school and has been balancing our rigorous curriculum with the ramifications of her mom's death, a task that I am incredibly in awe of.

However, as most people know, medical students don't make money, and it is unreasonable to assume Tori would get a job amongst the plethora of things she has to deal with. Thus, I am making this fundraiser to aid Tori in successfully tying up whatever loose ends her mom has left behind. Specifically, the money raised from this fundraiser will help Tori pay for lawyers so that she can get their help in sorting out her mom's assets. If you can donate anything at all, I know that she will be incredibly grateful. No one should have to deal with financial stress on top of the stress of medical school and the stress of their mom committing suicide. Donating even just a little bit can go a long way in helping Tori cope with the loss of her mom, so anything you can spare will make her feel loved during this incredibly difficult time.
