I am raising funds for my sweet little doggie, Tootsie, short for Tootsie Roll.
After a day of noticeable lethargy, we decided to go to the ER. Tootsie was put into an oxygenated kennel and pepped right up. Tootsie was diagnosed as anemic, her red blood cell count super low, and possibly fighting itself. The oxygen in the tank helped her blood work easier. We opted for the recommended blood transfusion. Tootsie may only need one, but there is a possibility of needing more in the future, depending on how her body responds to the transfusions and/or steroids.
Everyone who meets Tootsie falls in love with her. She is a very sweet and friendly MinPin/Dachshund. She will come up to anyone, give them a sniff, look for a treat, then be on her way. Most days, you can find Tootsie on her favorite spot in her beanbag chair or sitting with Grandma. When you call her, she comes and rolls on her back, hence her name. In addition to being a family member, she is an emotional support animal for our household.
I have been in and out of jobs since last September, and I need help. I am asking for help to cover her lab work, vet fees, overnight stay, initial blood transfusion, and the possibility of two more. I’m praying for the first one to take. I saw it in her eyes; this special little girl still has a lot of life in her. Her sister Coco (Puff) is very concerned and missing Tootsie.
