Toothy is my housemate Stef's beloved cat, and recently, we faced a frightening emergency. After a bouquet of flowers with lilies was accidentally brought into our home, Toothy was exposed to lilies—a flower that is extremely toxic to cats. When we realized what had happened, Stef rushed Toothy to the ER, knowing that every minute counted. The veterinary team acted quickly, inducing vomiting, starting IV fluids, and running bloodwork to check for any signs of poisoning. It was a stressful and emotional experience for all of us, especially Stef, who cares deeply for Toothy and has always made their well-being a top priority.
The costs of emergency care added up quickly, and Stef is already facing challenges of their own, having had to take time off work due to health issues. The funds raised here will go directly toward Toothy's ER visit, the emergency treatments, and the necessary bloodwork to ensure Toothy recovers fully. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden and allow Stef to focus on caring for Toothy and their own health.
We are so grateful for any support you can offer. Your kindness and care mean the world. Thank you for helping Stef and Toothy through this difficult time.
