Antonio “Tony” Román, National City, California, passed away on November 4, 2021, at the age of 73. Tony died peacefully with his beloved wife, their children and grandchildren by his side.
Tony was born in Durango México on June 7th, 1948, to father Juan Román and mother Dolores Márquez.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Alicia; daughter Thelma, sons Marco and wife Joyce; Johnny and wife Marisa; grandchildren Esteban, Christian, Johnny, Isabella, Joaquín, Emma, Avery and Jacob; siblings
Carmela, Miguel and Federico.
For over 25 years Tony took monthly missionary trips to Baja California visiting towns like San Quintin, Ensenada and Tecate. He joined other missionaries from his church delivering food and clothing to the less fortunate and spreading the gospel. The week before his passing he was unable to join what would have been his last missionary trip. You see, Tony had spent the last two weeks in ICU fighting for his life.
My family wants to honor Tony, my Dad with one last trip to Baja. People wishing to help us honor my Dad's commitment to helping the less fortunate in México can help by contributing to the purchase of non-perishable food and clothing.
We love and miss you Dad,
Marco
