Hello, my name is Tony. I am a proud husband and a father of twins (boy and girl). My wife and I had our twins in April of 2024 with massive complications with our son. Having been born with a cystic teratoma, blocking the entirety of his upper airway and protruding out his mouth and nose, my wife had to go through an emergency C-section and a trach had to be placed so my son could survive. He spent the first 6 months of his life in intensive care at the NICU at Johns Hopkins and then Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital combined. We have been lucky that our insurance has covered at-home nursing from November of 2024 till May of this year (2025), but we are losing the benefits.

My wife works for the federal government and I am a paramedic for a local Maryland fire department. Our funds and savings have been exhausted and with my son’s special needs, even though he has progressed so far and is getting stronger each day, I can only work so much to cover the costs from medical bills and supplies.

I pride myself in not asking for help or handouts, but I come here to GoFundMe, humbling myself, to ask friends, family, and yes, strangers for some type of help. Help my son sorely needs.
