Help Tony's Family Through This Tragic Loss
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Xavier Davenport, and I’m the son-in-law of Tony Jerome Norman. We are heartbroken to share that Tony was tragically taken from us due to senseless gun violence in our Oakland, Ca, Bay Area community.
Tony was a hardworking man who spent years providing security for various SROs in San Francisco. Originally from North Carolina, he built a life here in California with his partner of 22 years—my mother, Leslie Baldwin —and dedicated himself to the family he created here in California, his faith, and his community.
On a recent evening, Tony was simply walking across the street on his way home when he was fatally shot—an innocent victim caught in gunfire unrelated to him or his actions. He never made it home to where he and my mother live that night August 27, 2025.
Tony didn’t deserve this. He was a man who showed up every day, did his job, loved his family, and lived with integrity. His loss has left a deep void in our lives.
We are raising funds to help cover cremation costs, sending him home to his relatives in North Carolina, provide support to his partner during this painful time, and ensure that Tony is laid to rest with the dignity and respect he deserves.
If you are able to donate, no amount is too small. And if you can't give financially, please consider sharing this campaign and keeping our family in your prayers. Your support means more than words can say.
Let’s honor Tony’s life and stand together against the violence that continues to take too many innocent lives in our communities.
Thank you for your love, support, and solidarity.
