A dedicated father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Tony experienced an aortic aneurysm rupture on Monday, September 29, 2025. He was rushed from Vancouver Island to the Vancouver General Hospital, where he underwent a massive surgery to save his life. That surgery ended up being the tip of the iceberg. He was placed in a medically induced coma and, while the first surgery was largely successful, an additional two surgeries are required in an effort to save his life.
The survival rate for a ruptured aortic aneurysm is quite low, with mortality rates ranging from 70% to 95% in older men. He remains in critical condition.
This GoFundMe is to allow his wife, daughters and grandchildren to relocate as needed to be able to be by his side during this time. The money will go towards accommodations and travel costs. If the worst case scenario happens and Tony does not survive this medical emergency, any money raised will be used to support the family with funeral and end of life costs.
We are so grateful to each and every one of you who can make a donation. If you are unable to make a donation, please share this GoFundMe and help get the word out. It’s just as important and so appreciated.
