Tonya and I have been friends for over 30 years — she’s more like a sister to me. When she married Lawrence he became my brother and together they built a beautiful family to include my two beautiful God children until cancer took him from us far too soon. This is their story.

It is with broken hearts that we share the unexpected passing on June 6, 2025 of Lawrence at just 49 years old, after a courageous battle with a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Lawrence was a devoted husband to Tonya, and a proud father to their two children—ages 17 and 14. He was a light in every room, a man of integrity, deep faith, and unwavering love for his family. He fought valiantly, trying every possible medical option to stay with his loved ones. Through it all, his spirit never wavered.

Tonya—his wife, best friend, and caregiver—stood by his side every single day of his fight, all while being a full-time mother and provider for their family. Now, in the midst of unbearable grief, she is facing not only emotional devastation but significant financial challenges.

We are raising funds to help ease the immediate burden on Tonya and the children—covering funeral expenses, medical bills, and helping stabilize their lives as they begin to navigate this painful new chapter.
