Let me tell you about my best friend Tonya. Most of you know her but you may not know just how special she is. She is definitely one of the most compassionate and caring humans I have the pleasure to know. I met Tonya 24 years ago when I started working at Banfield the pet hospital. We worked there together then she moved on to Tyrone vet where I followed and now we both work at Cornerstone vet together for the last 3.5 years.

we have become close friends over all these years and shared some amazing times together. We’ve been friends through marriage, children, and many other things good and bad.

the one thing that stands out about Tonya is that she would do anything for a friend. She has always been there for me no matter what. She has helped me in so many situations in my life and I really hope she knows how much I appreciate her. This is why I wanted to do this. She would never ask for help but I know the next few months are going to be very difficult for her.

tonya was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma that needs to be surgically removed from her face. Without getting in to too many details just know this is not going to be easy. Multiple surgeries will need to be done. There will be a long recovery and probably some long term difficulties from this process. She won’t be able to work for at least 2 months during the holidays so I am asking that if y’all could help if at all possible. If everyone donated a few dollars we could really make an impact for her.

if I can make this just a little bit easier for her then I have done my job as a friend.
