Help Tonya Recover From Multiple Strokes

My name is Sierra, and I'm creating this fundraiser on behalf of my parents. In late 2015 my mother, Tonya, suffered a stroke that caused her to lose some mobility in her left side. After some related issues, one more hospital trip and some recovery, she was still able to function with little to no help from others. She has been mostly fine for several years however, in the last 6mo, my dad, Joe, noticed a decline in her health until the 17th of February (2022), when she lost the use of her whole left side. My father was doing his best to care for her until this point, but with my dad having Parkinson's and MS, it was simply too much for him to physically handle, and we kids live over 900 miles away. He checked her into the hospital on Feb 18th. Once she was receiving treatment, she improved greatly. They found she did have another stroke, and her carotid arteries are both over 60% blocked. After a week long stay in the hospital, she is now in a rehabilitation clinic, where she is receiving physical therapy. She will be setting up the surgeries sometime after her physical therapy is complete.

My mother does not have insurance, though over the last 5 years my father has tried several times to get her on medicare or her own social security separate from his, but she has been denied every time because my of my dad's social security. With her hospital stay, physical therapy stay, and the upcoming surgery(s) for her arteries the bills are piling up so fast. There is no way for my dad to pay for all this so I am trying what I can to help. The faster we can raise the funds, the faster we can help our Mom to get healthy.
