~Help Us Say Goodbye with Dignity~

Hi, my name is Tonya Thompson, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a humble request.

My husband has recently entered hospice care after a long and courageous journey. Nearly 8 years ago, he suffered a life-changing stroke. Against all odds, he recovered about 50% of his function and has remained strong and determined ever since.

In the last few months, however, his health began to decline quickly. Just last week, we took him to the hospital for what we feared was another stroke. Thankfully, it wasn’t—but the news we received was just as devastating. Doctors discovered he was severely malnourished and suffering from six fractures—his rib, pelvis, and four areas in his lumbar spine. Incredibly, he never complained of pain—just a gradual loss of appetite and growing weakness.

This has all happened so fast, and I’m trying to prepare for something I never wanted to think about—his passing.

I’m reaching out to ask for help covering the costs of his cremation and basic mortuary services. I wish I wasn’t in this position, but I simply don’t have the resources to pay for it on my own. If you are able to help in any way, I would be deeply grateful. Even the smallest amount makes a difference.
