To many, it was “just a store.” To anyone who knows Tonya, what started as a dream became something much bigger. If someone walked into 98 Treasures looking for an item, they often walked out with a friend. Tonya opened the doors to art classes, painting lessons, mahjong events, and created a place where people gathered, laughed, learned, and built lasting friendships.

Just as Tonya was celebrating three years of owning 98 Treasures, a devastating fire changed everything.

Many may not know that Tonya is also a cancer survivor. Tonya knows what it means to face life’s unexpected challenges with courage, determination, and faith. While this is a very different journey, those who love Tonya have no doubt that same strength will carry Tonya through the days ahead. Tonya does not know exactly what the future holds, but remains hopeful. With family and a community that loves Tonya, there is support through this heartbreaking season.
