Help Tony with ALS Treatment and Costs
Donation protected
In December 2020, Anthony Krueger, more commonly known as Tony to those close to him, was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Spending his career working with his hands as a carpenter, the impact of his symptoms has stripped him of the ability to continue to work. Now, he faces the reality of this disease and the financial hardships that are associated. Particularly, being diagnosed at the young age of 55 has made it difficult to apply and get approved for Medicare. The medical bills will be endless for the duration of the disease, and Social Security has proven to be insufficient in covering costs. For Tony, being concerned with his financial and physical future has been hard, to say the least.
Tony was raised in a large Catholic family of 7 and is surrounded by his father, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, great nieces, God children, and many friends and family who have enjoyed epic times through the years. We continue to gather as often as possible, and the times are still filled with belly laughs and good times. He works for fun as a guest services usher at Notre Dame University. Go Irish! Prior to the onset of the ALS, he was very active and lived life to the fullest with his love, Laura. They thoroughly enjoy the outdoors, and nothing could have prevented them from enjoying long hikes and bike rides, except maybe this. In the face of this sobering reality, if you have seen Tony recently, you know that he keeps the most positive of outlooks. His resilience has been inspiring to say the least!
Please, show Tony, Laura, and his family that you too have been inspired and join in this fight with them. Any amount you can and are willing to contribute is appreciated beyond words. I wish we could ask for prayers alone, but the financial assistance is unfortunately also greatly needed. All donations will go towards Tony’s treatment and care to assist in this difficult journey and will help ensure he can cover the mounting costs associated with ALS treatment. Truly a good life cut too short - but not yet! Tony trusts that God has the answers and only He knows for sure! Thank you so much.
