Hi everyone, my name is Tony Roney

In early October, I was diagnosed with diverticulitis, which causes small gas pockets to form inside the colon. I was doing my best to manage it while still going to work, but one day I suddenly started feeling very ill and had to go home. That night, I went to the ER with a dangerously high heart rate over 125 bpm.

Doctors admitted me right away, and by the end of October, things took a serious turn. My colon ruptured, causing gas and infection to spread through my abdomen. I developed a high fever and had to undergo emergency surgery to save my life.

Since then, I’ve been in the hospital and out of work for nearly a month, recovering and trying to stay strong. It’s been a scary and humbling experience. As many of you know, I’ve always been independent and not one to ask for help but right now, I truly need some support.

I’m hoping to raise enough to cover medical bills, living expenses, and basic needs while I heal. My birthday is coming up, and while I might not be able to celebrate the way I hoped, just knowing my bills are paid and I can focus on recovery would mean the world to me.
