Every family has a hero, and for us, that's Tony Gooden.

Tony is a man who has always put his family first—a loving husband, a dedicated father, and the best stepdad anyone could ask for. He’s the first one to offer help, the one who always makes us laugh, and the steady rock we’ve all leaned on.

But now, our hero needs us.

The Challenge We're Facing

In recent months, Tony has been fighting a relentless battle against Stage 3 Lung Cancer. The diagnosis alone was devastating, but the journey since has been an exhausting and costly marathon.

He has undergone several intense rounds of treatment as he fights to beat this disease. The cancer battle itself was grueling, and he finished what we thought would be his last rounds of Chemo and Radiation on May 2, 2025. But the cancer returned as fluid in his lungs and heart. Resulting of that, Tony recently had to undergo an essential double bypass (open heart) surgery and was placed under intensive care. This procedure was critical for his heart health and attempting to get control of the cancer but it has added a layer of complexity and a significant setback to his recovery and his overall medical situation.

Tony is a fighter, but the emotional, physical, and financial strain on our family has reached a critical point.

Why We Need Your Help

With Tony unable to work and mounting medical expenses, including deductibles, co-pays, specialized rehabilitation, medications, and essential at-home care, the bills are quickly overwhelming our family.

We are setting a goal of $6000 to help cover:

• Outstanding Medical Bills: Including the recent triple bypass and ongoing cancer treatments.

• Essential Medications: Prescriptions needed for both his heart recovery and his cancer fight.

• Home Care & Living Expenses: To allow him to focus only on healing without the stress of losing their home or falling further into debt.
