Help Tony Giordano with Legal Defense

My name's Jim Dattilo, a very close friend of Anthony Giordano. Tony is being held right now in Laramie County Detention Center for defending himself and his coworker from a group of guys that were jumping his co-worker. Tony is a truck driver and was in Wyoming making his way to California before he had to ground his truck due to snowstorms. He and his coworker stopped for some food at a local place where they ended up in a confrontation with locals, which led to a fight outside. His coworker was being attacked by four men and being beaten badly. Tony quickly jumped in to help his coworker, but being outnumbered, he grabbed something near him and defended himself. They are charging him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for simply trying to defend himself and his coworker in a stand-your-ground state. As stated before, they are both truck drivers and are out of NJ; they are not local to that area. They were on a trip to California to deliver a load. He has two beautiful little girls at home that need their father and a wonderful wife that needs her husband home. He is not a dangerous man; he is a loving, caring, and all-around great person. Yes, aggravated assault is a serious crime, and he was at the wrong place at the wrong time, but all this man did was try to defend himself and his coworker in an area they are not familiar with.
