Hey friends, I’ve found private treatment that could have a hugely positive impact on my health and I could really do with some help to fund it.

For those who don’t know, over the last 8 years I have suffered with horrendous symptoms that have made it incredibly difficult to live a normal life. Chronic pain, fatigue, brain fog, anxiety, depression and poor sleep to name a few. The picture above can give you a bit of an idea of what I live with nearly every day. The pain and tension is mainly in the right side of my head but often stretches down the right side of my body in various places. Energy is also in short supply and the pain and fatigue regularly cause me a lot of stress.

Last year was my toughest yet. In short, I was having regular panic attacks and my pain and fatigue levels were so high that I could barely leave the house. In September I became unable to sleep, almost at all, for nearly 2 weeks. After 3 trips to A+E I was eventually given sleep meds strong enough to knock me out and I’ve been slowly recovering ever since. I’ve made a lot of progress and I’m still doing my best to keep going, but It's still been difficult to engage in even just the smallest of social situations. I’ve always been very social and outgoing, so this in particular has been really soul-destroying. It’s even affected my ability to engage in simple pleasures like watching TV/films, playing or even listening to music, reading books, playing games and a lot of other things that would usually bring me joy.

Over the years I’ve engaged with NHS treatments as much as possible and they’ve stabilised me with medication and helped me manage my conditions but haven’t given me anything that can offer any significant, positive change and help me to recover.

I recently started having Neurofeedback therapy, thanks to the people that have kindly donated so far. It’s helped me to get my head back above water a bit more and I've slowly been able to do more and feel more like myself. You can read more about it here...

Recently I was told by my doctor that I may have to kill my thyroid with radioactive therapy as it's still overactive. I can't stress just how much I don't want this for myself as it will mean a lifetime of medication and it won't actually solve the bigger problem causing my autoimmunity. I'm now doing my best to work with a functional doctor to treat the underlying causes that are keeping me ill and finally get my health back!
