My name is Tony, and I’m reaching out because I’m facing one of the toughest times in my life. I have stage four chronic kidney disease and am also battling a serious infection in my foot due to type 2 diabetes. These health challenges have forced me to miss a lot of work, and as a result, I’ve fallen behind on rent and mounting medical expenses. Life has been overwhelming these past few months, and I’ve found myself with nowhere else to turn. I’ve always been someone who figures things out on my own. I would work multiple jobs if my body allowed it, just to make ends meet. Right now, my health simply won’t allow that. I still work full time, but it isn’t enough to catch up. In the near future, I will need to begin dialysis, and I’m also facing a much-needed foot surgery due to the infection. The required podiatrist co-pay and surgical costs are expenses I simply cannot manage on top of everything else. The funds from this fundraiser will help me get caught up on rent, cover essential household and medical expenses, pay my podiatrist co-pay, and move forward with the surgery I need to prevent my condition from worsening. This support will allow me to focus on my health. I don’t normally ask for help, but I’m reaching out to my community with humility and hope.
