As you all know I'm Tony Chipman, a father of 5 and local fisherman here in Pensacola, Florida. I love to stay busy whether it's working, fishing, doing family activities or helping out a friend. It's been hard for me to get here, but here I am. I'm in a time of need and finally putting myself out here to ask for a little help.

Back in September of 2024 I had a freak accident. I came back from the bathroom in the middle of the night in a dark bedroom, of course. I didn't know a pillow had fallen on the floor and I tripped on it. I fell into my nightstand which had my cologne bottles displayed on it. My face fell directly onto a square glass top bottle and it struck my eye. Long story short, the trauma caused my lens to fall off into my eye and my retina detached. I had emergency surgery and the surgeon was unable to find the lens and could not reattach my retina which resulted in permanent vision loss and blindness in my left eye. This has been such an unexpected and traumatic, life changing event. I can no longer do previous jobs/work I was once able to do and daily life activities are hard as well. Medical bills are coming in, the first one alone is for $7,000 and that is just for the initial ER visit of a shot and CT scan. I've had multiple appointments and of course the surgery as well. With these bills and me being unable to work it has put a strain on our family. We also are down to one vehicle and that has unfortunately broke down. When it rains it pours. My wife is our only income at this time for our family and her money is covering the rent and household bills, but we are struggling with extra for medical and vehicle repairs. She has a Facebook page, Seashell Sheryl, showcasing our local beautiful Pensacola Beach. She also creates jewelry with the shells she picks up from the beach here.
